Recipes
Since we have friends from all over the world here, I would love to share some favorite recipes!
Here's a good old-fashioned meat loaf, but I make mine spicier than most Americans.
MEAT LOAF
3 lbs. ground round or 90% lean ground beef
1½ lb. pork sausage
1 med. onion, chopped well
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp sage
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp marjoram
½ tsp. red pepper
½ tsp white pepper
½ tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. seasoned salt
**(don’t just “plop” these spices in; sprinkle to evenly distribute the flavors)
1½ to 2 cups rolled oats (cheap, real oatmeal)
1 egg
1 can Manwich Bold
Mix all ingredients (except the Manwich) together VERY WELL, really work it to blend all the flavors together. Adjust measure of oats to make mixture hold together well.
Shape into TWO loaves, side by side in large baking dish and top each with a can of Manwich Bold.
Bake 325 degrees for about 1½ hours. Cover with aluminum foil the last 25 - 30 minutes or so of baking (very important – otherwise the sugars in the top sauce will burn and make a blackened, tough crust)
***
If no Manwich Bold, make this sauce:
1 can tomato soup
1 soup can full of sweet and sour sauce
(¼ c catsup, ¼ c white vinegar, ¼ c sugar, ¼ c water, blend and boil one minute)
1 tsp sweet and hot mustard
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp each: garlic pwd., onion pwd., red pepper pwd.
¼ cup water
My family loooooves this!

Re: Recipes
I love meatloaf.
I made some hard boiled eggs a week ago... for the first time, and they actually came out well! I like cooking, it's relaxing.. but I haven't done very much of it lately.
I like cooking salmon especially and pastas.
