City , Suburb or Country?
Which do you prefer to live in?
I prefer a suburb that is somewhat near a large city.

Same with Berg, haha.

I would enjoy a suburb of a large town... I currently live in Reno, which is a pretty decent size, but not too huge. I like living here. I can drink and gamble 24/7!

City,
yet not American size city.
My city is cool, has 300 000 people
and keeps a nice personality
that's the kind I prefer,
I just would enjoy a bigger metalscene :p

Re: City , Suburb or Country?
We live on 3+ acres right smack int the middle of a large metropolitan city. It is an older "neighborhood" on a street that travels through more than half the city = there are five of us right in a row that have 3-4 acres.
We feel secluded, but we are not. We can be downtown in 15 minutes or out of the city completely in 15 minutes in another direction.
I love it - it's the best of both!

Re: City , Suburb or Country?
Nice, Peace.
I myself prefer a nice suburb that is near a city, like Ash. It's nice to have the feeling that you're out on your own, perhaps far enough out that you can see the stars at night, but at the same time the convenience of the city is something you can't just ignore.... especially in our age of instant gratification.

I hate city's.
They're good for Shopping or whatever.
But I would hate to live in one.

I used to feel the same way.. and I still do to a certain extent.. but I think it just depends on what city your talking about.. some can have really nice areas to live in.
Re: City , Suburb or Country?
I grew up in the middle of nowhere, now live in a suburb of L.A.
After experiencing both, hands down put me in the country.

Re: City , Suburb or Country?
I live in the outskirts of a big city and I like it.
(I dont know exactly what a suburb is but thats probably what I mean when I say outskirts)
What I like as well is living not far away from the sea. Somehow for me its good to know that the sea is near. Does anybody here feel that too?

I'm the same way. I like being near the ocean.

Re: City , Suburb or Country?
Being a born-and-raised city gal, I have very romantic notions about living out in the country; however, having been born and raised in the city, I think I might bore quickly in the country...or not.
I don't see myself ever living the suburban life, something about all those houses being so similar and close together freaks me out. I have many dear friends living in the suburbs, when I visit any of them, it always sorta reminds me of Edward Scissorhands...

While I never really have any strong desires to go to the beach, I like knowing that the ocean is right there. I think I would miss it if I left.Blixi wrote:Orion Crystal Ice wrote:I will never live anywhere not on the coast.

Re: City , Suburb or Country?
I like living in the small city I just moved to. It's nice and quaint and historic (the downtown predates our country's founding), and I live within walking distance or else an extremely short drive of everything I need. Plus, it's a lot quieter and safer than most big cities, so I'm happy about my son growing up there.

What's the name of it?
Re: City , Suburb or Country?
Fredericksburg. John Paul "I have not yet BEGUN to fight!" Jones had a house not too far from where I live (it's still standing, and in very good condition), and there was an extremely bloody battle fought here during the Civil War. The history is so thick you can slice it like cheese.

city, country, or suburbs
I've lived (survived) the inner city, country, and burbs...Personally to be right smack in the middle of a heavily wooded forest close enough to hear the ocean is the perfect place for me.
