Its simple and soothing and just a little haunting; fabelhaft!
Don't get me wrong, I love me some frilly embellishments, but one of the reasons I got sick of the whole symphonic metal thing right after it started was how overpowering and overly complicated the music became.
It often seemed like the vocals and the metal bit and the symphonic bit were all in competion instead of melding and complimenting.

This dude is just sublime.

My friend's grandmother aus Osterreich...I don't remember what we were talking about, probably some ridiculous nonsense from the 80s, and she heard me say that and she looked at me rather horrified. We had to explain to her that it was phrase the young people used to say to express their appreciation, haha!

Perhaps it wasn't so common down there or with her generation...good times! ;D

Technically, Austrian, but yes, she is a most lovely and feisty woman...the whole monkey lust thing aside, I think she likes me too! She did give me a wonderful potato salad recipe. Lecker!

rabbit Hee!
It was a misunderstanding between my friend's Oma and myself; when I was sarcastically saying some cheesy 80s flick was 'totally super monkey cool' , his grandmother thought I meant somethin' else...

I guess 'geil' was not a popular word in Austria back in her day...good times!

I noticed that you use "Kindergarten" as a loanword in english. Are there more loanwords from the german language?

Oft for one. Oft was middle english for modern often.

There's so many ... Bruder- Brother, Father-fader, Friend-Freund, Wolf... and on and on...

But it makes sense because English was original a Germanic language.. back before the Norman invasion of england.. when it got mixed with alot of French.
